8/24/2023 On Sat. August 19th, Professor Louie & The Crowmatix, Walt Michael & Company & Greg Dayton performed in Concert ~ Common Ground On The Mountain presented by The Catskill Mountain Foundation at the beautiful Orpheum Performing Arts Center in Tannersville, NY It was a wonderful night and we all had a great time. Professor Louie & The Crowmatix repertoire is steeped in Rock ‘n’ Roll, Blues, Gospel and American Roots music and features a compelling collection of original and traditional tunes. Great performances by Frank Campbell on bass, Dan Hickey on drums and Todd Mihan on guitar. Greg Dayton is a singer/songwriter with influences spanning electric and acoustic blues, funk, and rock. Inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame in 2016, Dayton's diverse musical influences encompass electric and acoustic blues, classic rock, soul, and jazz. Walt Michael on hammered dulcimer, guitar & vocals and his various incarnations, including Bottle Hill, Michael, McCreesh & Campbell and Walt Michael & Co. have spanned 40 years and taken him from the coal camps of Appalachia to the White House to the Closing Ceremonies of the 13th Olympic Winter Games. Special Thanks to Pam Weissberg, Peter & Sarah Finn, Greg Dayton, Walt Michael, Delaney on lights, Casey, and Maggie for the great food...Chuck Ballantine & Rich for terrific sound and all the staff for the hospitality.
