Professor Louie & The Crowmatix from
Woodstock, NY have been performing since the year 2000 at numerous Festivals, Theaters, Clubs and Art Centers averaging 150 shows a year.
They have been expanding the borders of the Americana, Roots & Blues genres with consistent shows and Professor Louies stories, keyboard playing, singing and accordion. Their repertoire continual expands with Crowmatix songs from their 17 Albums of Originals, Blues and Americana music--- and the songs Louie learned and helped create directly with the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame group
The Band when he collaborated with them for over 15 years. Co-producing The Bands last three CDs including their comeback hits Atlantic City & Blind Willie Mctell along with many of their 90s repertoire.
Rick Danko gave Louie the moniker
Professor Louie.

Music Of The Band along with original and roots songs from their seventeen releases..
Professor Louie & The Crowmatix connection with audiences at shows helps create a family rapport. Professor Louie (keyboards-vocals-accordion) is joined onstage by band mates Miss Marie (vocals, percussion and piano) Frank Campbell (bass, vocals) guitar-slinging skills of Todd Mihan and drummer Dan Hickey. Professor Louie & The Crowmatix create a show that is constantly evolving with songs consisting of elements of Rock n Roll, Blues, Folk & Gospel Music with a dose of Jam framed in solid songwriting. New Album 2025,
Crowin Around will be released on Woodstock Records.

# 1 on the
NY State Radio charts.

Blues Hall Of Fame, New York Chapter and hold a permanent place in the
Canada South Blues Museum. Professor Louie is the recipient of The Robert H. Chambers Award for Excellence in the
Traditional Arts from Common Ground On The Hill.

Miss Marie & Professor Louie have written & published over 100 songs. Recording and performing with The Band, Levon Helm, Rick Danko, Garth Hudson, The Commander Cody Band and were an integral part of Mercury Rev's Gold Album Deserters Song.

and the times we live in. This CD is upbeat and up lifting with great driving grooves, vocal styling's and magic guitar riffs. Some of the greatest work of their careers. Americana at it's best!

2018 - The Lost Band Tracks CD - A six song EP on Funzalo/Woodstock Records. The Lost Band Tracks written & originally recorded in 1991 by Jules Shear and The Band members Levon Helm, Rick Danko, Garth Hudson, Stan Szelest, Jim Weider & Randy Ciarlante intended for a CD on Columbia Records but never released. Long time Producer, Engineer and performer Aaron Prof. Louie Hurwitz was the man behind those original sessions. So it only made sense to bring them to life re-recording the songs with his group The Crowmatix - This CD has been receiving great reviews.
