Professor Louie & The Crowmatix are excited to be performing for the first time at the Levitt Pavillion on Friday, August 20 in Westport Ct.
Professor Louie & The Crowmatix will be performing songs from their latest CD Whispering Pines on Woodstock Records as well as many tunes from their vast musical repertoire.
After coming back from his European performing and recording tour, Spaghetti Adventure, with Miss Marie, Professor Louie embarks with The Crowmatix in the northeast with this concert and then travel from CT to Maine from late summer to early fall. Then the group works its way to Edmonton, Alberta, to record a CBC Radio Special which will air throughout Canada.
Professor Louie & The Crowmatix return to the States in December to perform four nights at the Proctor’s Theatre in Schenectady, NY for a CBS 6 Television Holiday Special.
These great events have been happening for the group on the heals of their 2010 successful CD Whispering Pines which has been garnering much radio play with their award winning song Melody Of Peace recorded in The Czech Republic.
Based in Woodstock, NY, the band weaves together rock, country, blues and New Orleans influences. Professor Louie (Co-Producer for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall Of Fame group, The Band) along with his group The Crowmatix have extensive musical credits and since 2000 have released seven studio CD’s on The Woodstock Records Label. With superb vocals and great original tunes, The Crowmatix are truly gifted musicians. The lineup consists of Professor Louie handling the lion’s share of the vocals as well as keyboards and accordion, soulful singer /percussionist Miss Marie, drum master Gary Burke, bassist Frank Campbell and guitarist Josh Colow.
“…a tasty mix of rhythm and blues, and rock & roll. This is a great band.”
