3/6/2017 Woodstock Records - 2017 PROFESSOR LOUIE & THE CROWMATIX/Crowin’ the Blues: One of the pre-eminent roots band in the land gives the whole Americana genre the kick in the pants it frequently needs as they continue to rollick their way through the blues with these New Yorkers showing west siders and delta bog trotters how to party. Dropping almost all covers this time around, they take it well past perfunctory bar band moves that have turned some of these tunes into clichés, they blow off the dust and neglect to really set the joint a jumping.
