1/10/2018 Rick Danko Birthday Tributes Professor Louie & The Crowmatix honored their musical mentor and friend Rick Danko - singer/bassist for The Band with three wonderful concert events. He is truly missed and will not be forgotten. On Wed Dec. 27, 2017, Professor Louie & The Crowmatix with The Woodstock Horns led by Dan Shaut and special guest: Larry Packer (Last Waltz) performed Rick Danko tunes such as Stage Fright, Sip The Wine, Caledonia Mission, Times Like These, Shape I’m In and many more…. Opening act was Woodstocks' Own Simi Stone – A packed house and a fabulous night at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, NY – It is becoming a special yearly event! On Fri. Dec 29, 2017 another Rick Danko Birthday Tribute was held at The Towne Crier in Beacon, NY Professor Louie & The Crowmatix with The Woodstock Horns led by Dan Shaut and special guest Larry Packer had a wonderful night playing Danko tunes for a very enthusiastic crowd! One more fabulous night on Wed. Jan. 3, 2018 at BB Kings in NYC for the Rick Danko Birthday Musical Celebration! Professor Louie & The Crowmatix with The Woodstock Horns and special guests Michael Falzarano and Barry Mitterhoff from Hot Tuna and guitarist/singer Greg Dayton. An amazing crowd and a great night of music...We had Too Much Fun! Special thanks to all our fans & friends who came out to remember Rick Danko and enjoy such great music. Good times had by all….
